Our Story

Hi, we’re Juan and Liz! Our journey together began in 2005 when we met in engineering school in Puerto Rico. Since then, we’ve built a life filled with love, adventure, and family. We have two wonderful children, Ian and Eliam, who bring joy and excitement to our lives every day.

OHANA in Gatlinburg, Tennessee is more than just a cabin; it’s a labor of love and a testament to our belief in the importance of family bonding for long-term well-being. The name “Ohana” reflects our commitment to creating a space where families can come together, create lasting memories, and strengthen their connections.

Traveling is a significant part of our lives. Between us, we’ve visited over 20 countries, each journey enriching our lives and broadening our perspectives. We bring the inspiration and experiences from our travels into the design and hospitality of OHANA, aiming to provide our guests with a unique and enriching experience.

We acquired this historic cabin in 2022 and spent a significant amount of time renovating it, adding the right touches to make it perfect for families. Our goal was to create a space that feels like a home away from home, where guests can relax, unwind, and enjoy quality time with their loved ones.

Our mission is to provide a luxurious and peaceful escape for families to reconnect and recharge.
